We believe in owning less, but choosing better.

Our collections are designed with intention using natural fabrics chosen for the way they feel, breathe and move with the body. Every seam, proportion and detail has a purpose. We remove what is unnecessary so that what remains feels honest, timeless and easy to wear.

Our name is inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi sabi, the beauty found in simplicity, authenticity and imperfection. For us, it is not about celebrating flaws. It is about creating clothing with character, designed to live with you rather than simply impress.

wäbē säbē is the work of Karl Latraverse, a Canadian fashion designer with more than twenty five years of international experience.

Having lived and worked across North America, Europe and Asia, Karl has been influenced by different cultures, architecture, people and ways of living. Those experiences shaped his belief that good design should not demand attention. It should quietly improve everyday life.

Rather than following trends, he designs clothing that feels relevant today and just as meaningful years from now. Pieces that become trusted favourites because they are comfortable, versatile and thoughtfully made.

Every wäbē säbē garment is designed in our studio and carefully produced in Saigon.

We work closely with skilled local makers who share our attention to quality and craftsmanship. Producing locally allows us to stay involved in every stage of the process, from selecting fabrics to refining the final details.

Saigon is not only where our clothing is made. Its creativity, energy and independent spirit are part of who we are.
